Thanks to Tijnema & Randy, my procps compile issue is solved. It was the
ncurses library. I re-compiled ncurses and procps compiled properly. Thank you
for the help!

No, that's not it. Next guess: when init=/bin/bash, uid is 0,
but $HOME is no
