Please disregard my last post with regard to
diffutils. I built new versions of tar and gzip to
replace the Busybox versions, and the problem just
went away. It's possible that Freescale packages an
older version of Busybox with my board.

I have been trying to compile Net Tools. I have been getting this same
error for months now. I cann't find anyone else with this error
anywhere on the internet. I'm using all the version from LFS dev and
BLFS dev. So that's 2.6.20.2 kernel and glibc 2.5 gcc 4.1.2 and so on.
But I didn't see
