Perl 5.8.7 compilation error

Hi I'm building LFS 6.1 with the errata (perl 5.8.7 and the 5.8.7 libc patch). In chapter 5.32 after running *make perl utilities* the compilation fails complaining that there is no such file or directory as *lib/auto/posix/posix.a*. Any ideas. I'd appreciate the help. I'm using the live CD.
