kde4, otherwise it might seem like BLFS is becoming obsolete :-\

That's probably a good idea, in the end. Let's just keep kde3. The
farthest I go for databases in kde is sqlite.

Hi all,
I've been wondering if the lfs LSB bootscripts are being maintained,
since I want to use them and integrate them with plymouth for a
bootsplash. (I have no idea how to do this, any tips would be great).
Are the bootscripts being maintained?

Yes, but after building LFS a few times, you come to appreciate
package management. Jhalfs does this nicely, but as I recall, many
things are broken with jhalfs at the moment :(

make a decision. Please. We can talk about the development with
other distributions another time, at least AFTER 6.6 is released.

I'm looking at F-13 bzip2

I don't see any issues reported to the bugzilla in fedora, so i'm
guessing this was something minor...

So why can't we put it in BLFS? I'd just wait for until fedora tries
out their systemd.

That looks pretty good for a replacement of the aging LFS site.

Maybe see what commands they used to build SysVinit? They may have
supplied a parameter we don't.

Or, you could just symlink all the initscripts to a rc location in
/usr/sbin/rc
like /usr/sbin/rcnetwork for tab completion.

Hi all,
As brought up somewhere on the openSUSE mailing list,
http://lwn.net/Articles/490413/.
Will LFS continue to avoid systemd? Because udev will still be
buildable on its own.
