I do not remember pre-decimilisation money at all, but for some reason I
vividly remember the day of decimilisation and going in the local sweet shop
with new money. Odd. But I was 6 1/2 years old

I remember going with my Dad in the Lowfields in the late 60s and he paid 7

We met up on the other side of the turnstiles and we went to get our usual

I seem to remember it was 6/6 in the Kop, but I don’t think they had a boys
entrance. It was 5/6 in the Lowfields & 3/- for boys. This may have been a bit
before decimalisation, though. When I first started going at the end of 1967 we
stood in the Shed, then we progressed to the Lowfields. I had

Sorry to contradict Graham, but it was 7s 6d to get in the kop pre
decimalisation and then went up to 40p. Still robbing us though d-CUR.
And while I'm here - I know Alioski isn't a left back (and we need a
proper one), but leave the lad alone. He works his nads off for our
team what
Yeah, I remember decimalisation, some people used it as an excuse for ripping
people off. For instance prior to decimalisation it cost 3s 6d to go in the Kop
and afterwards it went up to 50p! A 285% increase, robbing bastards!!!
