Thanks for your extensive reply. I did reinstall and got it nearly to work. I did the following: 1. downloaded "latex2html-2008.tar.gz" and extracted it 2. patched "prefs.pm" > "$prefs{'EXTRAPATH'} = '/sw/bin';" (cause of the install location from fink) to get the following right during ./
