KX-T: How to get XDP to ring?

Hi, folks. Would one of you mind giving me guidance on a really simple issue I'm experiencing with my home KX-TD1232? I've plugged an analog phone (cordless) into the XDP port of one of my system phones (7235) and set the station XDP port to "N" through the Panasonic software. It works well as an

KX-T: VOIP gateway thinks 1232 is off-hook
