Boy do I know that one, every time I do a new hybrid system for
a client they want to reuse the old two and four line phones which I
have to enplane will only work as a single line phone, they say "but
it's got two (or four) buttons.

When you say "behind", does it integrate digitally with a D1232,
or does it just appear as another analog phone on an XDP port?

I agree, a PIB (pain in the butt). Just connect 2 analog lines to their 2
line phones and presto!!!

I've searched the archives and can't find this- Any opinions on the kxtd197 internal
modem versus a external modem for the kxtd1232? And what's the best external modem for
the kxtd1232 and the TVS's?

Hello everybody,
We are planning to buy a new KX-1232-6. Currently, we are using a
KX-TD1232-2. I use programator to configure it.
My concern is if I will be able to use programator to configure the new
KX-TD1232-6. Does anyone is using programator with the new KX-TD1232-6? Any
problems? Comments?
A technique I like to use when I need multiple apperances of CO lines or
station ports is to introduce a 25-pair '66M' or '66B' block between the
CO/KSU blocks and the station blocks. Then you can jump the CO or station
pairs to that block and fan out from there to 3 or 5 stations (more if you
loop
I don't know if -6 version is out yet, But you CANNOT use an earlier version
of programmator on any newer ver..Jim

Hello All- I need advice on freeing up more extension numbers in the 1xx
block. I think extension 165 to 188 is for the T-1, can I "trick" the
system by adding an asterick to the front of those to free them up?
Thanks, Dan.

How about renumbering the extensions assigned to these functions
(like VM, etc.) to the 3xx block?

I believe that an internal modem allows the SMDR to carry on during
programming.
With an external modem, you will give up the SMDR function. With
direct connect of a computer, you have to reconnect the printer (or
start the software doing the logging) when you finish programming.
