Why would one think the software would be the same?
Different country. Had a TVS100 from Canada and had to send the harddrive to
Panasonic to make changes to work here. Different Country, most likely,
different software.

I don't have them that old, however I did find that the Russian software
worked on an old 1232 KSU when the Pana did not. H you say the
equipment was designed in Russia..??
