You should not use CAT5/6 for building to building wiring for both distance
and safety reasons. If you use outside plant rated STP cable for T1s,
sometime called siamese cable, which has the transmit and recieve bundles
separately shield along with a ground wire, you'll can get about 500 feet i
Cat 5/6 is not the best choice for T1. It will work, but you'll get more
distance out of individual pairs in separate binders of a multi-pair (>25
pr) cable. If you're going to be running the cable, you may as well run T1
cable. It is a 2 pair cable with each pair individually shielded.
