I repeated these steps and yes it 'appears' to be stuck, you must
additionally click the cancel button on top where you initially clicked
install. I agree it isn't the best in user experience, however that is
something that needs to be addressed upstream. Please file a bug at
bugs.kde.org thanks.

create a user namespace but it is denied all capabilities within the namespace.

problem reported on 23.04.
I've just looked on 2 of my systems (both 23.10).
The one which has been upgraded from 22.04 is OK.
The one which was a fresh install (new system) of 23.10 is not. In fact

Note that this is being reported against mantic (23.10) so what Jammy
can/cannot do is not really relevant.
The bit about the entire Default section disappearing seems to have
sorted itself out, but the absence of any information about sources
configured using *.sources files is still present.
