Has anyone tried to make a lay up with vinylester resin over cured epoxy resin
(West System)? ?As in a fuel tanks.? I??want to make my front deck with out the
header tank so I can start on my canopy. ?I don't want to buy the vinylest
resin untill I start on the wing tanks so I can do all tanks t
I have some vinylester resin that I bought two or three months ago and have
not opened yet. I know that promoted ve has a short shelf life, but what
exactly happens to it when it expires? How can I tell if it is still good?
I am probably only going to use it to make a mold so I don't care about

If it's still liquid, it's still good. As it get's old, it first turns
to goo, then to stone.

I do not know anywhere in the US they sell Ester resins, But in Australia I
just go to where Glass Chemical tanks are made.
The ones the use on farms for spraying.
I just looked in the phone book.
They sell it.
