Hi All,
Is any one else out there worried about the edge distance on the WAF's? They
are only 1 1/2 inches wide and the 8 AN3 bolts in each one are only about 1.5
D from the edge.
If I had it to do over again I think I would make my spar caps thicker at the
root and I would make the center cap
One more time.I have never heard of an incident due to WAF failure in
the 30 years that the KR has been flying. But you are right to be concerned
That is the point on the KR that seems to concern builders more than any
other point. Me included.

My training in maintenance tells me that no fastner should be closer then
1.5 times its diameter to the edge. So, it's OK.
