Oh no. Definitely terrible news. I was just about to send an email that I
could not attend this KR Gathering because of the recent hurricane we went
through. Too much damage. I only just got electricity and internet back.
So I will miss it this year.
But I had been looking forward to seeing all
my condoleance to you all and his family.

Really sad, not the kind of news we want to hear. Condolences to the family.
I do not know how correct the canopy departing report is but from personal
experience I can tell you that is NOT something you want to experience!

decided to drive 800 plus miles from Texas to Lees
Doing a Google search I found that he had only been airborne a few minutes when
he crashed. He was 74 years old.
