Thank you all. As some of you might recall, I did do a fuel flow test and
found a leak in the left auxiliary tank. However, I did remain with this
nagging issue of a pump to the engine. My fuel flow test revealed no need for a
pump but being an old Piper Cherokee Jock with an electric fuel pump
Luis,
I have and KR2S with 2100D. I do not have a fuel pump. As originally
installed, the fuel line is 3/8" from the header tank to the gascolator, then
1/4" to Carb inlet. I did do a fuel flow test before phase I testing.
Rechecking my notes, for the Revmaster you should have 8 gallons/hr min
Have you done a fuel flow test in nose high position. Flow should be a min of
1.5 x the max fuel burn.
It would be recommended to put pump on a low wing for take off and land and
emergency procedures
My 2 cents worth

Sounds like automating your back up fuel pump would be a good idea.
Their are a few different methods I can think of to do this. Monitoring
your fuel pressure with a pressure switch which can then activate an
annunciator light as well as the back up pump or measuing the current to
the main pump, t
How abuot adding a small header tank to supply gravity pressure all the
time.the less moving parts the better.
