Many old timers will remember him. Passed away today, almost 91. I
think Covington, TN was the last Gathering he went to but he was at all
the early ones. Friend of Ken Rand and was a flying buddy of his. Built
one of the first KR-2's and was featured on probably ten covers of the
aviation maga
"I have flown a KR2 only once (owned by a guy called "Sparky" in
California-Thank you Sparky- Is he still around ??) and found it very
responsive especially in pitch. I could handle it easily because of my
experience in light helicopters. But it is definitely more sensitive than
your average plane.
