Here is a prectical approach for trailer construction. The guys I fly with
dreamed this up.
The Dawn Patrol Guys pull there airplanes all over the US for hundreds of
miles one way. The have much more complicated planes to assemble and
disassemble than the KR. They have been doing it for years. Y

I have trailered my KR to Minnisota and back to Michigan. I used a small
modified boat trailer and sat the KR on top of a 3/4 ply sheet sitting on
its main wheels and built an tail stand for the back. The tail stand did
not have enough padding and did a lit
I moved my project from Michigan to Missouri in
August.
We strapped the KR on top of my 75 Corvette.
Used carpet padding between the gear legs and fenders
of the vette, and carpet padding between the bottom of
the fuselage and the roof of the car.

Thanks to all of you again. I see clearly the many reasons for
trailering the KR home.
One thing I do want to make clear is that it was never MY
intention to fly one of these birds to Alaska. I was thinking
about professional pilots who fly cross country all the time
who would fly the KR to its ne
