Since all the questions about filling and painting have been popping up lately,
I thought I would post this link again. It has valuable information on
finishing a composite plane.

you guessed it, only I did get them finished today. I was almost through and
the same guy came over and wanted to know if I wanted to fly in his newly
refurbished STOL Cessna 180. WOW, it was off the ground in 300ft. A very
nice handling airplane. I sure hope all this riding in airplanes will help

This is mainly for you new guys who are reading as much as you can about
finishing a composite airplane. In case you haven't run across it yet, here's
a pretty good web page that covers most of the basics.

Well, I just got in from a long day at the Factory. Jerry came over this
morning and we got started on the aileron balance. Then I took the WannaBee
outside and started sanding off the Smooth Prime. You know, you put it on,
so you can sand it off. It was nice, cause didn't have to wear that awf

This is probably true. My problem is that the KR2 that I am trying to
finish was started
Larry,
There are templates for cutting out the firewall. If you don't have the
templates, I suggest that you buy a new set of plans.

You need a complete set of plans for your project! There is a f

Hi Larry,
I think you're only a few miles from Rand Robinson (Huntington Beach).
Check out their site (www.fly-kr.com) and you'll have a source to find just
about anything you need. On their price list "Firewall Plywood" is listed at
$65.00. Don't know if it comes with a template/is alre
Larry,
I'll dig out the plans, see if I have a template. Stuff is in storage, will
take a day or two. Ah, the joys of time tunneling!

Actually, the KR2 plan price is not listed. Also, the original builder
added 2" width at the cockpit. So, I do not know that a cutout firewall
plywood would be the right fit. Having an actual profile, I can adjust as
appropriate.
