So I was thinking of drilling all the WAF holes and coating the surface with
aeropoxy, also the bolts (not the threads) and assembling while uncured. This
would cement the WAF to the spar.
Is there anything wrong with this method?

I'll bet it would just pop right off. Putting on the WAF before the resin
cures will insure a smooth even fit. However, I am sure that your results will
vary.
