Joe,
I always advised my customers to get a valve job done with new stainless
valves even on a new car.
The issue is that OEM VW valves were made in two pieces, the head and stem
were electron beam welded and machined to final shape.
I use Manley stainless valves. They are one piece and stron
Stainless valves are nice, but I will bet that the problem was not the valve.
