This isn't strictly a KR question but it applies...
Is it possible to setup a turbo to work strictly as an altitude compensator?
Anyone out there with real experience with turbos willing to allow their
brains to be picked?
Further explanation required I'll bet...
Ok, so what if you don't want

Though there are some very valid statements when you think about it, then
there is Tomas Knight, seems his name is all over the place when it comes to

I've been seriously looking at electric turbo's not the cheap ones, but some
of the good ones cost as much as a turbo (300-400) and seem to range from
8ps to 12psi.
Alot less plumbing, less weight, can do on/off when off the air flows though
unrestricted.
Also going EFI so there will be an O2 se

I had a conversation this weekend with a fellow whose buddies had had problems
with turbos on VW based buggies and sandrails. It's not that they didn't work,
but rather the engines didn't hold up as well as stock.
Now I'm wondering if it's wise to use the turbo on my REVMASTER. Considering

I agree with the evidence presented that in standard installations the max
compression should be 8 to 1 with turbo. 94 octane fuel used to be available

I did a bit of stuff with turbos about 20 years ago on car engines, and a
lot of research.

My engine has the compression set to 7.5:1. I have not experienced any
knock, lots of power and too much heat in the oil. As for my turbo setup, I
have dual egt, 4 CHT, as well as manifold pressure.
One quick note to think about when running a Turbo, especially if you are
adding a turbo, is some
