Using the engine crank shaft as a pivot could do some damage due to no oil lube. So, that's a non-starter. What I am doing now is laying a towel over the cockpit side just like the car mechanics do to keep belt buckles and buttons from scratching the paint. Then use a firm foam pillow to lean o
