I have a Rand engine mount that bolts to a VW and allows only 7 inches
behind the engine. I now have a Diehl accessory case with the appropriate
stuff. I know I can mount it between the engine and the Rand mount using
the inner holes. I would rather not, and I'd like to get another 2 inches

Check the "Great Plains" web site, I do not have their info in front of me but
it seems theirs is 8-1/2 inches and is made for the Diehl Accesory case as well.
Comes in 2 versions one for TDs & one for TRikes. I also think they have mods
for different starter locations.
