Can anyone tell me if they feel the rudder size is adequate on the KR,
especially in a heavy crosswind?
Unless I miscalculated (probably have) it doesn't seem to have enough
area.

Hi Jeff, did you balance the new rudder ? It appears most people don't
balance their moving surfaces..

I have found the plans built rudder on the KR-2 to be sized right for the
plane. It has plenty of effect.

I have only flown one KR but I have not heard anyone having concerns with
the standard rudder being under sized.
