These are a pressure fastener. When you screw a bolt into the body
and insert the whole thing into a hole, you turn the bolt and it
compresses the body of the fastener and makes it spread out against the
side of the hole. DO NOT USE ON A AIRCRAFT!!!

Anyone know what these fasteners are called and where can I get some? These are
used on the plates under the wing that cover the aileron connections to accept
the screws that hold the covers on.
