All, Looking for information on the "magic number" for torquing assemblies to the main spar (like the W.A.F.'s.) I've heard/read 10 ft. lbs. but just wanted to see what others were doing. The ole that-feels-about-right method might be okay too ;-) Thoughts? Also, anyone have any experience

ts. Torque specified was just sufficient to nip up the spacer tube. I quite like the idea of inserts and spacer for removeable/folding wings, having a better bearing area on the bolts. - Original Message - From: "Matthew Elder" To: "KRnet" Sent: Sunday, October 10, 2004 5:3

I always used "tight". Check the bolts that hold the WAF's on, because the wood will shrink over time. When I bought my first KR ( 90% complete and only took 6 more years to finish ), I found that the bolts were very loose and "snugged" them up. You want to be careful not to crush the wood. There

The plans say 25 inch pounds for the WAF's.
