Stephen, what model Garmen was that? ++ Hi Dene - Sorry, I can't recall. It was very much like the typical Garmin hand-held before the moving map units came along. The model number was one digit different from the otherwise identical aviation GPS - something like x93 instead of x94.

There are a few reasons my plane cost as little as it did. One, I waited to find a started project. I found a finished KR2S boat with spars, all fittings, gear, wheels and brakes and all cables and EXP2 bus for only 500.00! All I had to purchase was glass and resin to finish the plane.

Some of the lower end handhelds are that way, especially the older = units. This marine unit however is identical to the aviation unit with the = minor exception of marine navigation database instead of aviation which can = easily be changed.
