Phil, you are correct, we are getting carried away again. I have the Diehl
nose wheel with 250 hours and never had shimmy. I have run it with 20 lbs
pressure, 30 lbs pressure and 40 lbs pressure and to date have not had any
shimmy. And as far as you tail dragger guys go. Your tail's can shimmy j

You just follow the Dan Dahl instructions , adjust it correctly, and you DO
not get the shimmy.

I have been told you can use 'rate sensitive' or 'damper' grease in the
pivot and it will remove this shimmy. This same grease is used in the volume
controls in higher end stereos.
