FYI: This is important. Gmail automatically hides all the previous replies
for you. That's ok, click reply like you always do but then click the small
rectangle at the bottom of the reply box. This will show you all that has
gone before you. Press Ctrl-A to highlight everything in the box and type

Yes, trimming replies is proper. But, at least for me, on gmail, that
requires me "going and finding" the quoted replies.
