I always felt the Rotax a bit over rated and was always in question about using
them instead of the typical aircraft engine. Very comfortable with the VW or
Corvair until I bought an Aventura II with the Rotax 912 UL. Went to a

The Barnstormer ad is funny. That's pretty much how I've always thought
about Rotax's, knowing not much about them. Still don't, although I
noticed they just increased the TBO on the 912 series (some of them
anyway) from 1500 to 2000 hours.
