I'd like to ask him how he got his plane's airworthiness certificate, which
will help me do the same thing.

Netters, I am concerned about Dana. I wrote to him over a week ago, and he
has not responded. He has also not posted anything about this year's KR
Gathering. It is not like him to not communicate. If there is someone who
lives near him, could you find out if he is OK?
Thanks,

I guess I need to clarify... A lot of folks, including my own son, appear to
have taken my post as suggesting Salina, KS as a venue for the fly-in. I was
merely listing Salina as the "farthest West that the fly-in has been held".
Salina is slighly farther West than Perry, OK.
In fact I
KR gathering in Salina, Ks.
I am from Salina and it is a heavy use airport. Cards need to be carried to
enter or leave the airport. It has 4 runways but is a no-nonsense field,
controllers are strict on traffic procedures.
No one pulls a plane out of his hanger here unless he is leaving the ar

How about Salina, KS? The first KR Fly-in was held there in Aug of 1984.

I would like to go to where my father suggested. It would be cool to see where
the first gathering was and meet everybody.
I guess this would be a good time to introduce myself. I got interested in KRs
from my dad and as he said I went to the first gathering when I was in the
womb. I plan to st

"Ole Blue" was there. I flew up from Altus, OK with my wife who was 8 months
pregnant. The son she was carrying, now wants to build a KR; coincidence? I
think not!

I wonder if we could talk Marty or Dan Diehl into hosting one? I sure would
like to see them again, even tho they don't have KR's anymore. Anybody know
what happened to Mar

I'd say Perry, Oklahoma. I traveled ten hours by car to get there
I am surprised that some of our KR family got upset about the quick
rejection of locations at the far corners of the country, but I do
understand it. I too would have liked to host a Gathering, but I know that
we live at one of those extremes. I would really like to get farther out
West for a Gat
