My understanding is that a gauge of some sort is required for each fuel tank.
This could be a sight gauge or electric or mechanical. Tanks could share one
switched indicator, just so the pilot can determine how much fuel is actually
onboard.

I can speak from hard personal experience. I have a 12 gallon header tank and
it had a brass elbow sticking out of the fuel cap aimed directly at the prop.
No problem with 30 hours or so taxiing (high speed and slow). On my first 3
flights the KR2 1835ccGPVW took off and climbed out wel
My KR2 only has a nifty aluminum fuel cap, which is formed of two parts: a
round cap, and a streamlined aluminium rod acting as a grip. There is a tiny
hole on the rod (2mm) facing back, and linked to another, vertical hole in
the cap itself. And that's it. Has been working for almost 400 hours lik
