Dual vs single controls - consider this:
Les Palmer in Dallas, TX built his with the
single/center stick, but flew it straddling the stick
using left-side left pedal, right-side right pedal.
I'm not recommending that system, just letting you
know what happened to one of the nicest KRs I've seen
