If you are saying that one of the holes in the engine case is larger than
the others, Dan will not be able to help you. I have a Diehl case, and all
bolts are the same size (diameter).
Is there a helicoil in that hole where it is larger?

I have a Type 1 VW and it's connected to the Diehl case with two studs at the
bottom and two bolts at the top. One of the bolts has a tapered shank because
the case hole (top left) is larger. Two questions: 1. Why is the one mounting
hole larger? and 2. What are the correct fasteners all around?
