I have flow behind several O-200 and none of them have had an oil cooler.
I've never really had a temp problem out of them, but they have all been on
C150s. I do remember seeing a mod at one point in time that added fins to
the spin on filter to help cool a little more but I can't find it now.

I have 655 hours on my 0-200 and I've never run an oil cooler. The
highest temp I've ever seen was right at 210 degree

My Rolls Royce airforce 0200 has oil cooler at the rear of the left cylinders.
And It also has a screw on oil filter. It’s been overhauled and ready to go as
soon as my KR2ss is finished. Phil
