I would just like people to know my experience with Modley Crankshaft at
Dearborn Heights, MI. About 5 months ago I gave them a call about doing the
crankshaft work for my engine. I told them everything that I needed done and
they gave me a ballpark price. So I sent it off for them to complete
I said this before but I don't mind stating this again. There are full plans on
the KR out there on peer to peer sites. They are very close to what I received
when I bought my plans the right way. The one that I saw was complete enough
for a builder to build a plane with very little problems.
I now have around 20' extra of the 6061 Tee Bar. The size is 1 1/2 x 1 1/4.
Some guys have already ordered some . I'm selling it for .75 an inch plus what
ever the shipping is. Email me off the list if you need some.

I'm confused about this. W.W's manual talks about removing them and using
helicoils or time-sert. But looking through the KR search data base other's say
not to remove them unless you have to.

I would like to know everyone's opinion between using the stock exhaust
manifold or a custom one. On another note I was able to order the 6061 Tee Bar
and I will have extra to sell.

Ok I give up. I have spent the last several days searching the net for 6061
T-Bar 1 x 1 x .125 and have not found it in the size or thickness. Does anyone
know where I get get this or does anyone have any that I can buy from you.

I need to make another one of Dr. Dean's Rudder horns but again I'm having a
hard time finding the 6061 T bar in the size and thickness I need. But I have
found it in the 6063-T52. Would that be ok to use or is that a NO NO?

Ok i'm new to this VW engine thing. I was thinking about a corvair engine
and know whick corvair to look for but I was also thinking about a 4cly VW.
I have been looking at different engines but get lost at this Type 1, Type 4
stuff. What should I be looking for? Years? CC? Type?
Thanks
