I think you made a good decision by choosing the EJ-22. I am certainly
happy with mine. Today I made flights number 6 and 7. It might be a little
over weight, but it really screams.

I used a spinner off a Beech Baron...cut down to fit. Of course, I had to
build a backing plate to hold it on. Most repair shops have broken spinner
sitting around. They usually break near the base and can therefore be cut down
to
a smaller size and fitted to an experimental airplane.

Since Iowa is long flight for those of us on the west coast, why not
have a mid winter gathering someplace that has nice weather in the winter time.
Death Valley or Palm Springs are both nice in January or February.

For a good quality nose gear, check with Diehl Aeronatical. They advertise

Yes, things are different with a Subaru. My KR-2S has an EJ-22. It rotates
at 60 mph...and then climbs likewell, you know.

I'm a 7,000 hour CFII/ATP. My KR-2S was signed off 5 days ago. It has
tricycle gear with a Subaru EJ-22w/reduction drive. I'm sneaking up on the
actual flying of the little beast by doing high speed runs down the runway. I

It is my proud honor to announce that after 3 1/2 years of dedicated

The KR on the website looks a lot like a Lanceaire. Lance Niebauer's first

I have a new Props. Inc. 52 x 48 prop that I decided not to use, (due to
the fact that I added a PSRU and can use a longer prop). Therefore, it is

I have my 2S balanced according to the wt and balance form provided in
the plans. As it currently exists, it seems nose heavy even though the CG is
only 2" in front of the rear limit. It seems to me that I've heard some
discussion about the wt and balance in the builders manual

I didn't say that Corvair engines are unreliable. I have no idea how many
have failed while being used in aircraft. However, RFI has installed over 400
Subaru EJ-22 engines in auto gyros over the past several years. The single
failure that has occurred happened on an engine that had experienc
