WOW what a rush to see and hear my rev master turbo come to life on N379NS! I
know some of you have already experienced it and I've heard you talking about
it but what a feeling. After five years of building I finally see light at the
end of the tunnel.

It is alot of work. However, I?used a fellow KR builder's wheel pants as a
pre-made plug and cut the time in better than half. Now that the?plugs have
been made?I've made my pants and another friend will be borrowing them for his
project.?
I found two low pressure gas struts on a pickup truck fiberglass canopy rear
hatch lid. They work perfect and only cost me $5.00 (U.S.) plus the
ball joints ($5.00) from the local auto parts store.
Mike Stafford,s KR2 is 85% and almost making real airplane noises.
I live in Denham Springs( near Baton Rouge) and was lucky. I don't have a
place to work now, but still consider myself lucky. Lost my back fence and
there
is alot of trees down. Got my electricity back but some of my neighbors do not
and it's hot. Most of the company's income that it received c

Ray, this is Mike Stafford in Denham Springs. You are supposed to be
evacuated. Hope you remain dry. I've got my KR in the shop all nice and dry. I
made
more parts to mount my mains today before we lose electricity. The wife fussed
and said that there were other things more important. I'm still
I used "Elmer's" ultimate glue. It's polyurethane. It's water activated and
easy to work with. Like all products in this category it does have some draw
backs though as the bonding seam is a little hard to sand as compared to
sanding the bonded foam. Overall though I have been very pleased wi
Peter, I've contacted Elmer's and was only able to leave a message on their
phone answering machine. They have a terrible web site in regards to their
information about distribution. I think as big a product that Elmer's has been
here it surely should have an outlet there. If I get a response
In practice, I was taught to maintain altitude in a turn by executing a 360
and looking for my own wake turbulence. It's definitely there, even in a KR or
C172.
Thanks for the reply. I'll check it out. I think I saw a picture of
something similar as you mentioned but they had the legs mounted to the stub
main
spars. Couldn't find the item again. And, it was before I made my find on the
spring.
I just recently purchased a Sonori spring gear complete with axles, wheels,
brakes and good tires. The dimensions are the same as the grove design for
the KR with the exception of the spacing between the leg bends which is only
27". Does anyone have any experience mounting this gear on a KR?
If you are building a kr2 and not a kr2s, according to my manual on page 46,
drawing no. 44 , the hinge arm (elevator bellcrank)" is the same as tail wheel
arm ". I'm back to building and having the time of my life!
Cracked flywheel maybe??
Ray , I saw your post on the net. I'm interested in contacting other kr
builders in Louisiana near by. I'm in Denham Springs and have gotten past the
boat
stage but at a stand still.
