I was reading the KR newsletter #73 and discovered the first KR Gathering was on 13&14 June 1981 at Santa Rosa, CA. It was called the National KR Fly-in, due to liability issues the name was changed to National KR Get to Gather in 1987. Issue #70 has a cool flyer advertising the event. There

When motor oil is heated above 230degrees F, it will oxidize. The hotter you heat your motor oil, the faster it oxidizes. And that oxidized oil lacks much of its lubrication properties as well at other negative effects. The bottom line is that if you cook your motor oil, you need an oil chan
