Marcio,
Do you live in a different Brazil? I am only familiar with the country in
South America where VW Type 1 and Type 4 engines are still very easy to buy.
Once you have your engine, there are still other things to know about making it
reliable for an airplane.
The VW Type 1 engine is the
Any chance that the boat plans, if they're near completion, could be put up
on the website? That would allow folks to get started.

, perhaps with too little oversight from the FAA. I didn't dig
long enough to find out whether there was an autopsy.
Regarding the rest of what you wrote, I'm in agreement. *laugh*

Using Google to search through the newsletters, I found:
Keith James

Tulsa, OK 74105

Keith James was the program chair for at least one KR Gathering and used to
supply stub wing skins to KR builders. Unfortunately, his phone number no
longer works.

had hoped my pipe

My long-term pipe dream is to attempt to follow Colin Hales' example. Does
anyone have opinions about the maximum fuel capacity a KR-2S could handle
if built for that mission?

Just to be sure there’s no ambiguity, do NOT put a layer of peel ply down and
then glass over it. Peel ply will prevent your fiberglass from adhering to the
foam surface, and it will delaminate.
Cotton flox mixed with epoxy will fill the surface, but it’s heavy. So will
glass microballoons. I
Colin, I’m curious to know what engine you were flying.

Go take a look at homebuiltairplanes.com. There are a fair number of Subaru

I've stumbled upon about seven or eight Corvair engine blocks and heads.
The ones I can see are late-model blocks, although I haven't gone through
all of them. Does anyone here have any interest?
I have no idea what value a Corvair engine or parts has these days.
