The KR on ebay is mine. I've been debating whether or not I should sell it but
it just seems to be sitting in the hanger now that I bought a cherokee 140 and
to be honest I'm a little nervous to test fly it. I've never been in a KR
before and I wanted to get to MVN this year just for that reaso
This is straight out of the stc that I have for my cherokee.

I'm leaving late afternoon on thursday or early morning on Friday. I'm flying
my piper cherokee into hickory oaks campground. I'm really interested in
seeing the KR's that are there. Last year I looked everywhere but couldn't
find any. I was only there for a day though so thats partialy my f
I have a older 1915 Mosler engine that is doing the same thing, What type of
ignition do you have? I'm running an aerocarb I'm not sure if its the carb or
maybe the ignition is cutting out. Hopefully we can both figure out this
problem.

I was wondering if anyone is using a Harley Davison Carb. I've got one on my
Mosler 1915cc engine but I'm not sure what size it and if it is even suitable
to use in the air. The engine runs great but with a 52X46 props inc prop I can
only spin it at 2350 rpms. I definitely think I should be a
I'm actually talking about the stab. It should be 30 up and 20 down. Will
that be enough because I can't really change it unless I re do all the
flight control rods and actuators. I would think that it should be enough
being a tail dragger and all but I would just like to hear somebody else s
I did find out why I'm only getting 25 up. Its because the control rod for
the stab is set up as a push pull rod instead of the cable system. When the
stick is pulled back for up movement the end of the rod hits the very back
of the fueslage around the tail wheel filler. There really doesn't
I was busy rigging my flight controls today and I've got the ailerons and the
rudder all set but my stab is supposed to be 30 up and 20 down but instead I
can only get 25 up and 20 down. Will that be enough? And will the FAA
inspector allow that to be off from the plans.
Thanks, Dan
I used to have a props inc 52/54 but traded my corvair and the prop for a
great plains engine. The guy was going to use the corvair on an avid but I
think he will need a bigger dia. prop so may be willing to sell the one I
gave him. Its brand new and has never been flown with yet only taxied.

Cowling
Thanks, Dan

engine mount
intake tubes
starter
Zenith Carb
Electronic Ign.
Flywheel
Prop Hub
Oil Breat
I was wondering what the difference is in the basic vw cowling and the
revmaster cowling from rand robinson. I've got a 1915cc mosler engine with the
diehl accesory case. electronic ign. and elec. start. Which one would be a
better fit. Also if anyone has a cowling for sale please let me kno
The new owner of the KR is William Wright. He is from Houston Texas and is
new to KR's. He plans on picking it up on the 1st of august and I think if
he gets right to the finishing of the cowling and wing gap strips he should
be able to make it up to the KR gathering. I really hated to sell it b
Thanks for your input, I think I'll just get a lot of tailwheel training and
stay with it like it is for now and then maybe if I don't get that
comfortable in it after awhile then I'll think about converting. Plus I
think its kinda neat to actually have a KR that is still built with the

would it be possible to make my kr into a tri gear but still leave the
retracts in place or are the retracts to far forward for the cg to be right.
I also ground looped my kr on a high speed taxi test but I was unfortunate
to hit a runway marker light and take out my prop which I guess is better
