Congratulations John.
My stock kr2 had to have the electric trim re-rigged to give me more
nose down.
I don't think the trim tab is ever above the elevator only below it.
I am using a mac servo in the elevator to adjust the tab.

On my airplane I added a bushing on the passenger side of the fuselage,
basically matching the bushing built into the flap handle bracket.
I found a sintered brass bushing with an inside diameter to match the
torque tube, and made a wood block to hold it gluing it to the fuselage
side.

take of .005" to the thick washer,or add an additional thin washer, if

I am 6'2" and fit in my KR2, as I cut the panel higher at my legs.

Hi Mark
What type of coaxial cable did you use?
Transponders usually require double sheilded coax to prevent spurious
signals.
I also had a problem in my plane when I used a steel bolt to pass the =

I used emery paper, it is available in rolls, you may need to go to a

Emery paper is used to roughen up metal.

Hi Oscar
It would work but would have limited range, my ELT came with 2 antennas
one a telescoping portable.
I used my ELT antenna by making a star pattern for a ground plane, made
using 1 inch wide copper strips.
I put the Antenna on the floor about 2 feet back from the seat back.

Congratulations!
You made the right decision in getting a experienced test pilot to fly
it the 1st time.
I was nervous enough on the ground, not alone flying it for the first
time.
By the time I flew the KR I was calmed down, knowing that it would fly.

I started building my KR2 in 1986, and it finally left the earth today.
The airport is at sea level and there was no wind.
The test pilot flew it for .9 hrs, circling the airport.
The plane hit a top speed of 130 mph at 3200 rpm, climbed 1000'/min at
70 knots, and stalled at 45 knots.
