I had a similar head room issue with my standard KR-2. I made a new
fiberglass seat bottom one inch thick and clears the fuselage bottom by
3/8". To clear the elevator control link, I cut a channel in the middle of
the seat pan and closed this cutout top with 0.030" aluminum sheet secur

Mine is Stretched, Widened, and Taller. So it is a 3XL.

Ok, rhetorical question. I'm just surprised because your previous bird was
well thought out, very well modified and by the way IMHO a great way for
every KR2 to be built. I would even call it by a new designation.

Yes. Unfortunately there was no cushion on my seat when I test fitted for
headroom so that won’t resolve my dilemma nor will reclining the seat back more
as David suggested. It is already too far back for what I really prefer but all
of this is worth keeping the deck heights as low as possible f
Reply to Mark Jones Head Room : I had a very comfortable and fancy seat

Can you just recline the seat back a little more? I had to do that
too, even with the 8" canopy lift on mine.
