I looked up the standard valve stem diameters in the VW manual, and they are different. .3126-.3130 is correct for the intake, but the exhaust stem diameters are listed as .3114-.3118, so it makes you wonder if the Manley's may be a smidge tight. But then again, your guides are probably worn
