The level line on the digital phone will only show the local level, not an artificial horizon. So, might be used as a turn coordinator. The magnetic compass works ok. My iPhone darkens the display after a few seconds to conserve internal battery power. Sid Wood Tri-gear KR-2 N6242 California,
