I can't imagine a worse airport for winds than the one where I have been based
for the last 32 years. Always take off to the East and land to the West. No
overflight of the housing to the west of the airport.

I had an inlet inch and a half on the front of my KR with the O200. I put a 90
at the firewall and I could not climb out on a gravity fed system. I took it
out and my problem went away

I mentioned recently that a South African KR2 was clocked at an average speed
(both ways) of 185mph in a recent air race with a Pioneer 300 aircraft.

Typically crosswind limits are up to the individual pilot. Every Pilots
ability is different. For an example alot of my flying was up in North Dakota
and if you weren't able to handle 15+ kts crosswinds in a 172 you wouldn't be
able to fly much. It's also the type of airplane you have. Nose ge
