Looking good Paul! Hopefully you can get away with minimal sanding and
filling, but don't be concerned if it is not perfect. Sanding and filling
builds "Character". Plus stronger arms of course.

And there's always simply welding up the holes in the gear brackets, and
redrilling them wherever you want them later. That's maybe 20 minutes of
work for a welder. Yes it will weaken the aluminum some, but these
brackets are way overbuilt anyway.

The fuel burn on a 2 stroke is a lot higher than the VW/Cont.. Plus, you have
to carry 2 stroke oil when travelling..
