Hi Everyone, I added a few pics. to my photo bucket. I've been working real hard trying to get everything finished up in my garage before I take it to my hanger. The cooling system was somewhat of a challenge, but looking back, so has everything else. The pressure cooling system seems to work we

Hi John, Congrats on getting your KR into the air. I'm interested that you're operating from a 2,000 ft grass strip. From other discussions on the forum I've developed the impression that 2,000 ft would be a minimal strip for a KR. The reason I'm interested is that my own strip is about 650 met

Congratulations John. My stock kr2 had to have the electric trim re-rigged to give me more nose down. I don't think the trim tab is ever above the elevator only below it. I am using a mac servo in the elevator to adjust the tab. Al Hawkins C-GDPU Port Coquitlam BC. On 11/7/2014 19:35, John Bouy

John, I have the same problem with my KR-2: Always have to hold forward stick. Trim tab does work as I can feel changes in the stick force as the trim control is moved over the range, but still have to hold forward stick. Suggestions to increase the negative incidence of the horizontal stabilize

Bou; I will add my congratulations to those that the others have offered, and of course we're all happy that the flight brought you back to earth safe and sound. You'll soon get to the bottom of the stick force issue, I'm sure. What I am *not* sure of is why I might merit special mention when

John, Congrats on your 1st flight! I had the same issue with my ground adjustable only trim tab as well. You'll just need to adjust it till it is set for level flight for you and no pressure added. It took several flights to find the sweet spot. Mine ended with the trim tab down about 15 degr

Yes, about the same as Jeff reported. I glued a piece of bent aluminum, guessing at the amount of bend needed. When I got it right, I riveted the aluminum piece to the trailing edge of the elevator and filled/sanded/painted and you can hardly tell it is there. See N64KR at

If you are 3.5" aft of your forward CG I'm surprised that you are pushing forward so soon. Is it possible that horizontal stab is off?? Just a thought. On 6399U and full fuel in the header tank my trim tab is slightly down and by the time I'm at 1/4 tank its all the way down. With a passenger an

Congratulations John! If your W&B is correct, the most likely culprit is going to be the incidence of the horizontal stab. I had the same issue (except mine wanted to dive at the ground). I flew for several years with some rather large trim wedges glued to the trailing edge of the elevator to
