Mark,
I had used your suggestion as far as running the tube down into the back of the
boat below the vertical stabilizer but used a PVC water faucet supply tube from
one of the box stores. I just cut the length I needed to wrap the copper tape
around and epoxied it in place. Worked great and

It comes in 3' lengths, as I recall. Let me know when you find a source...I
need to order some more! Thin wall aluminum tubing would work OK as
well...maybe less trouble too.
Trigear - VW 75hp takes less distance to land, more distance to take off due to
increased friction from the grass. 1500-2000 feet to take off. 1000-1500
landing.

Of those who fly their KR2 off of a grass runway; what distance to take
off and land, tail wheel or tri gear, engine type and horse power if you
please.
My hanger is on a grass strip. Want to be able to take off and land at my
home field.
Thank you!

I "rolled" it around a small diameter dowel to get it started, and then
slid it down the shaft longways (see enclosed photo), before soldering
to the coax. Arrow shaft is

That is a great video, I was watching the right hand inputs and the video
really shows what a nice responsive airplane that is. Also. I think that is a
beautiful panel, neat and tidy with everything one needs. Thanks for posting
that.

Thanks Mark. I knew what I was trying to say but something got lost between my
brain and the keyboard. I wasn't sure if you knew some secret to the dipole
configuration. My father was a Ham operator and designed antennas. He would
often come up with unique and strange setups. I should have paid

After rereading your question, I think I answered the wrong question...or
you may asked the wrong question...or both. Although the shield can be used
as one of the legs, I chose to use the copper tape, which has more surface
