Happy New Year. Between my sons cost to go out of state for college and my new web business going nuts crazy good, Im really suffering for the time to get out to my KR. I may have mentioned I think Im going to rebuild the heads just to be sure I have no burnt or problem valves. Then get it back

  You are right in that there is no Mode S transponder requirements in the USA. But in Europe and some other countries, a Mode S transponder is currently required for all flights. I'm sure our KR buddies in Holland, UK, Italy, or other counties would know their specific requirements. Happy N

Absolutely we are on for Jan 12-13 (8-5pm)  We will be building a wing using the RAF48 wing skins and we will be installing a horizontal stab.   If time permits we will also be removing a broken rudder post and replacing it.  The wing will be on Sat and maybe sunday am if needed.  If we don't

There is no impending Mode S requirement unless you plan to be flying above 18,000'.  There is a lot of confusion on the subject.  Mode-S even with extended squitter doesn't really provide enough bandwidth for all the information the FAA is going to want on ADS-B OUT and you will be better serve
